CMS Now Accepts Cigna Health Insurance
Community Medical Services now accepts Cigna Health Insurance, giving patients another way to access substance use disorder treatment with less uncertainty about how to pay for care.
For patients with Cigna/EverNorth coverage, this means eligible services at CMS may be covered under your health insurance benefits, depending on your specific plan. Coverage may apply to services such as medication-assisted treatment, counseling, and recovery support, helping make it easier to start or continue care without delay.

Your Partner Through Changes to State Medicaid Programs
On July 4, 2025, President Trump signed the Federal Reconciliation Bill (H.R.1) into law, commonly known as The One Big Beautiful Bill. The law allows for new requirements for Medicaid. There are exemptions from many of these rules for those actively in treatment for Substance Use Disorders (SUDs), including your treatment here at CMS. It is critical that you stay updated on the latest decisions being made to the AHCCCS – our goal is to ensure that your treatment is not interrupted.
Nothing has changed yet. The first changes are scheduled to go into effect sometime in 2026, and most will not occur until 2027. You do not need to do anything differently right now to keep your Medicaid coverage. We understand that insurance changes and coverage issues can be stressful. For individuals without insurance, we offer a sliding fee scale in select states based on eligibility to help make services more affordable and tailor to each individual. Our team can also work with clients to explore insurance options and assist with applications when needed.
