The 2025 Ohio Patient Outcomes Report highlights the impact of outpatient Medications for Opioid Use Disorder treatment, counseling, peer support, harm reduction, and community partnerships across the state. In 2025, CMS welcomed 4,359 new patients at 10 different clinics across Ohio.

Recovery is not defined by a single appointment, test result, or moment in time. At CMS, care is built around a long-term, whole-person approach that meets patients where they are and keeps the door open whenever they are ready to continue.
In Ohio, that approach is reflected in the experiences of patients who describe CMS clinics as respectful, caring, and judgement-free. One Columbus patient shared: “This place has done nothing but good for me, and has saved my life. I was greeted with open arms, I’ve learned coping skills, and I was able to get my life back on track.”
Ohio’s 2025 outcomes data shows how sustained access to treatment, counseling, and supportive care can help patients stabilize over time.
The longer patients remain connected to care, the more Ohio outcomes data showed improvement in key social determinants of health. From admission to one year or more in treatment, Ohio patients reported significant reductions in unemployment, unstable housing, low income, and anxiety.
Better data leads to better care. The 2025 Ohio Patient Outcomes Report brings together patient demographics, counseling impact, toxicology trends, social determinants of health, and recovery outcomes to help CMS continue improving treatment access and quality across Ohio.
